The Timms Community Centre's Gymnasium offers a wide range of programs for all ages. The Drop-In Gymnasium schedule includes Sports & Play, Dodgeball, Volleyball, Indoor Soccer, Table Tennis, Badminton, Pickleball and we even have Open Gym times for users to play Basketball and any other sport. Admission Fee

ADMISSION FEES:

Admission includes access to:  Weight Room, Fitness Track, Games Room, Drop-in Sports, Drop-in Fitness, and

Al Anderson Memorial Pool ( public swim, aquafit classes, length swim).

Drop-In Program Description
Badminton 16+yrs Open Gym - Youth
  • Recreational Badminton Open to all skill level from beginer to advance.
  • Double play and rotation of players will be required if session is full.
  • Drop-In Format
  • 18 person per half gym on rotation basis or 32 for full gym (6 courts)
  • Shoot some hoops, play soccer or enjoy a variety of other activities.
  • Participants must be 12-18yrs.
  • Drop-In Format
  • Maximum 20 per half gym.
Badminton Family Sports and Play 6-12yrs
  • Recreation Badminton for Families
  • Minimum 1 parent/guardian and 1 dependant under the age of 17yrs
  • Drop-In Format
  • 16 person per half gym on rotation basis or 32 for full gym (6 courts)
  • Multisport options from Badminton to Soccer
  • Supervised drop-in program for Children
  • Participants must be 6-12yrs old
  • Maximum 15 children per half court or 30 for full gym 
Basketball - All Ages Pickleball 18+yrs
  • Recreation Basketball all skill levels welcome from beginer to advance.
  • 15 spots for 5 on 5 play with a rotating group per half gym or 20 for full gym
  • If full, scores go to 7 points. Winners stay on for a maximum of 2 wins.
  • Recreational Pickleball open to all skill levels from beginner to advance
  • Double play and rotation of players is required if the session is full
  • 18 person per half gym or 32 for full gym
Basketball 16+yrs Pickleball - Family
  • Recreation Basketball all skill levels welcome from beginer to advance.
  • 15 spots for 5 on 5 play with a rotating group per half gym or 20 for full gym 
  • If full, scores go to 7 points. Winners stay on for a maximum of 2 wins.
  • Players must be 16+yrs in order to play.
  • Recreational Pickleball open to all skill levels from beginner to advance
  • Double play and rotation of players is required if the session is full
  • 18 person per half gym or 32 for full gym
  • Minimum 1 parent/guardian and 1 dependant under the age of 17yrs
Dodgeball 16+yrs Table Tennis 18+yrs
  • Enjoy Recreational Dodgeball, all skill level are welcome.
  • Maximum 20 person per half gym.
  • Drop-In Format.
  • Up to 8 tables are available
  • Double play and rotation of players are required if busy
  • Drop-In Format
  • 36 person per half gym
Open Gym - All Ages Table Tennis Family
  • Shoot some hoops, play soccer or enjoy a variety of other activities.
  • Drop-In format
  • Maximum 20 per half gym or 30 for full gym
  • First come first serve basis.
  • Children under 8yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Up to 8 tables are available
  • Double play and rotation of players are required if busy
  • Drop-In Format
  • 36 person per half gym
  • Minimum 1 parent/guardian and 1 dependant under the age of 17
Open Gym - Family Toonie Drop-In 13+yrs
  • Shoot some hoops, play soccer or enjoy a variety of other activities.
  • Minimum 1 parent/guardian and 1 dependant under the age of 17
  • Drop-In Format
  • Maximum 20 per half gym.
  • Practice shooting basketball, soccer or play other activities
  • $2.00 Drop-In
  • Equipment may be borrowed from the centre
Volleyball 16+yrs
  • Recreational Volleyball all skill levels welcome from beginner to advance
  • Players sort themselves into teams
  • 6 on 6 per court
  • Roatation of players will be required if session is full
  • Maximum 18 per half gym or 32 for full gym (2 courts)
  • Drop-In Format
Indoor Soccer (16+yrs)
  • Recreational Indoor Soccer all skill levels welcome from beginner to advance
  • Players sort themselves into teams
  • 5 on 5 per court
  • Roatation of players will be required if session is full
  • Maximum 20 per half gym
